here and now

Like a lot of people, I searched everywhere to get better at sales.

Books.
Courses.
Seminars.
Podcasts.
Conferences.

Always chasing the next big unlock.

And yeah, I learned plenty.

But the most profound shift?

Tune in to what you control.
Tune out what you don’t.

Do your best,
and let the rest unfold.

Because no matter how skilled you are,
there’s only so much in your hands.

When or if people buy?
Not up to you.

Deals stall.
Priorities shift.
Territories get shuffled.
Quotas go up.

The urge is to grip tighter.
To force it.
To wrestle things into place.

But when you stop wresting and surrender that need for control,
something lifts.

You drop into right here
this moment
and let the rest be.

Not the end of Q2.
Not the quota.
Not the dashboard.

Just now.
This call.
This question.
This conversation.

Not sure what it really means to be in the here and now?

After you finish reading,
close your device.

Do nothing for 2 minutes.

Listen.
What do you hear?
Notice what you feel.
What do you smell?
Breathe.

You don’t need to chase the moment.
You’re already in it.
All that’s left is to notice.

iOS 26 just made cold calling better. Not worse.Better. With Apple’s new Call Screening feature, unknown callers get screened by a voice assistant. You read the transcript of what they say before you decide to answer. At first glance, that sounds like a nightmare for sellers. But think about it. No more:“Who is this?”“Not interested.”Click. Now you get a chance to spark curiosity in writing before the call even begins. That’s not a barrier. It’s a window. Because if you can’t get someone to...

A sales influencer drifts into my DMs each day, urging me to buy his $2.99 cold calling book. He promises records broken, gurus eclipsed, revenues soaring. Yet each message feels like a hand gripping too tight. “I’ve logged 20,000 hours of calls and shattered the world record!” “I’m going to be banned for sharing it.” “My book vaporizes every other guru.” “This is the sacred blueprint to $300k a month!” All of which just makes me… not want it. When we push, others lean away. When we insist,...

Have you ever tried to convince someone using facts, logic, and reason… …but they still weren’t convinced? You’re staring at the spreadsheet thinking, “Why don’t they get it? It’s all right here.” You’re not alone. This happens all the time in sales. Why? Because our beliefs aren’t built on spreadsheets. They’re stories we’ve been telling ourselves for years. Try to change someone’s story, and what do they do? They dig in deeper. Facts, logic and reason rarely change minds. Because when your...
